Terms and Conditions

orders

Iab shops catalogue and website is an offer to treat only. Any contract shall consist of the customer’s order and iab shops acceptance thereof. Any order accepted by the iab shop shall be subject to iab’s conditions of sale and no other conditions shall apply unless expressly agreed in writing by an iab shop member of staff.

prices

Quoted prices do not include delivery charges. Prices are indicative and may vary due to building access and location. Prices are based on full block of 4 column lockers, half blocks possible, please enquire for information.  Deliveries can be made anywhere within the UK mainland, excluding the Highlands and Islands (unless stated on the website). The prices invoiced will be those currently charged by iab shop at the date of dispatch. Although every effort is made to ensure the prices stated in the website are correct, should an error on price occur, and an order is placed, you will be informed and given the option of continuing the order at the correct price or cancelling the order. All prices are subject to VAT. All packing is non-returnable. The customer is to ensure that the iab buying guide (available on all pages of Webshop in bottom footer) has been read and understood. Iab take no responsibility for damage to products during installation of customers orders unless the iab installation service has been utilised by the customer. Iab will not accept responsibility for damage during installation when completed by a third party.

COMPLIMENTARY ENGRAVING SERVICE

If the customer takes advantage of iabs complimentary engraving service – it is the customers responsibility to ensure that the numbers requested correlate with the number of locker doors ordered. Iab take no ownership with the responsibility of checking customers orders for complimentary services. Iab will however endeavor to ensure that customers orders are correct before being sent for manufacturing (please reference payments terms for clarification)

point of delivery

In accordance with normal transport practices all goods will be delivered to the goods inwards department or reception on the ground floor and off-loading facilities must be provided by the customer. If further transfer or installation is required, particularly for large and heavy items, this must be requested at the time of ordering and an additional charge will be added (please see design and installation fees). Please note that a signed consignment note constitutes delivery of goods. Please check that the number of boxes received, corresponds with the delivery note before signing. The customer is obliged to inspect delivered goods immediately upon receipt. Failure to complete an inspection of products delivered (by 5pm on the date of delivery) will result in a breach of iab’s terms and conditions and returns for damaged products void.

delivery time

Times quoted are so quoted in good faith but shall be non-binding. To facilitate a prompt delivery all despatches will be made direct from either the point of manufacture or distribution. Iab shop shall not be liable for any losses incurred by the customer or any other person as a result of any delay in the delivery of the goods or any part of the order for any reason whatsoever. The due performance of the contract is subject to cancellation or such variation as iab shop may find necessary as the result of instructions or lack of instructions from the customer, or as a result of industrial dispute or of any cause whatsoever beyond iab shops reasonable control. iab reserves the right to make partial deliveries.

payment terms

Once the customer has submitted their order, a member of the iab sales team will check customers order to ensure that the correct accessories and extras have been included with customers order.  Customers should not make payment until a confirmation email has been sent from the iab Shop team – which will include payment information. Should the customer choose to pay by Pay Pal or Direct Bank Transfer – no order will be processed until full payment has been received. Customers can track the status of their order through the ‘My Account’ section and will be notified via email once full payment has been received and an update of their order provided by iab Shop. Customers should ensure that prompt payment is made by close of business  once confirmation received from sales team to receive orders in reasonable time.

retention of ownership

Property of the goods remains with iab shop until full payment has been received by iab shop. Until full payment is received iab may at any time recover the goods and may enter the customers premises for this purpose. Nevertheless, the risk in the goods passes to iab shop on delivery and the customer shall promptly effect and maintain in the joint names of the parties, insurance of the goods against loss or damage in their full invoice price until final payment.

guarantee

Except as herein expressly provided and as provided by law, iab shop does not supply goods with the benefit of any term, warranty or condition, express or implied, as to the merchantability of the goods or their suitability for any purpose whatsoever. As far as it is able iab shop will assign to the customer all rights conferred on it by any of its suppliers. Insofar as quality of materials used in goods manufactured for iab shop is concerned, iab shop shall have the option to repair, replace (or at its sole discretion refund to the customer, the price of the goods without any further liability) parts agreed by it as being defective, and which have been returned to it, carriage paid, within a minimum period of 1 year from the date of delivery to the customers works. Goods subjected to fair wear and tear, misuse, defective maintenance, alteration or modification, are excluded from this guarantee. Goods covered are subject to single shift working only. In no case shall the liability of iab shop hereunder exceed that of the actual manufacturer of the particular goods or parts thereof. Any liability on the part of iab shop is subject to terms of payment being met.

technical description and date

Such descriptions whilst given as a guide, in good faith, are subject to alteration by iab shop without notice. In particular all weights and dimensions are approximate only. All maximum load capacities stated are for evenly distributed loads only.

consequential loss

Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by iab shops negligence, or as herein provided, iab shop shall not be liable to the customer for any consequential loss or damage (whether for loss or profit or otherwise) costs or expenses or their claims for consequential loss whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the supply of the goods or their use or re-sale.

claims

Iab shop will always ensure reasonable measures are taken to inform customers of any delayed or changes to delivery. These will be communicated to the customer by telephone, and where not possible, email. Notification of non-delivery must be made the day after confirmed delivery date from iab shop. Failing this no claims will therefore be entertained.

returned goods

Returned goods are accepted on a case by case basis. Returns are not to be sent without having written confirmation from an iab shop staff member as proof. Made-to-order items cannot be cancelled after despatch from the warehouse. Refused deliveries of made-to-order items are not eligible for credit. Our usual refund policy does not apply to made-to-order items, which cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty. The above conditions do not affect your statutory rights when goods are faulty, or not as described. Goods must be returned in their original packaging, unused, unassembled and in a resaleable condition. Credit shall not be given for goods received damaged. The customer shall unless otherwise stated be responsible for the cost of the return carriage of all goods returned which shall be at the risk of the customer until actual receipt of the goods to iab shop. Proof of return delivery will remain with the customer. We reserve the right to charge for incomplete returns, orders placed in error or not wanted.
